I personally wish a company would create an 'airport-slot compatible' card, whether it be 802.11g and/or a higher power card (100-200mW) but no one seems to want to make a card that only owners from the Pismo up through the TiBooks (plus iBooks) can use... oh well... I guess I'm satisfied with 802.11b and less than optimal range until I buy my next PowerBook someday in the future.

$79 to buy the original AirPort card plus $90 to buy the MacWireless card less the $30 rebate comes out to $139. I don't see how that "reduces the overall cost of a wireless network connection". Plus then you give up your PC Card slot.
