Hi,
I upgraded my PB G3 Lombard to 512k RAM (2x256) and now OS X crashes just as
the finder is finishing loading.
Anyone have any advice, suggestions, fixes? I've combed knowledge bases and
so far have had no luck. The RAM vendor (OWC) suggested I "boot without
extensions." Clearly that tech person doesn't use OS X...
To be honest, I havent had any major OSX problems like this except for once. To fix that, I booted off a cd, and I first tried to repair disk permissions with disk utility I think, and then I ended up reinstalling in place (or whatever the option is that you reinstall system software without erasing old info).
Either way, good luck, I am sure it will work out.
Cheers, matt
