For comparison, I have an A300 Acorn Archimedes computer circa 1988, 8Mhz ARM, no fan and no heat sink, upgraded to 2Mb RAM and Risc OS. Its Window Manager is quicker than Aqua on the Pismo. Joaquim
That's not a good comparison to a "modern" OS. I have an SE/30, and when it's running System 6 it boots in about six seconds from chime to desktop. Yes, windows open and close faster on that system. However, it won't do nearly the things my Pismo or TiBook will. They both take a couple of minutes to start up, yet I don't call them slow.
