You'll probably be told this by a hundred other people on this list but the answer is those dreaded letters "LG". These Lucky Goldstar drives fail all the time. I got through three of them until someone said try and the Matsushita brand. So far, mine has been fine. I'm sure you'll find that's the answer... Tony
