Thanks for the suggestion mark, although I have already tried this with no luck.
So far I have tried:
-PMU Reset -PRAM Reset -Drain battery then recharge to full (twice) -Different power points -Ran the hardware test cd ... all tests passed.
I should have mentioned all that in my first post, sorry everyone.
