I'm tempted to stop at the supermarket tonight. (I'm a free man tonight and tomorrow.. the wife is going to concerts tonight and tomorrow, so she's spending both nights with her parents... I can't cook this stuff while she's home because she's on a diet).
If you're not into rice, you can make a slightly thin mixture of cornbread batter (like pancake batter) and fry it in a buttered pan - just like pancakes - and scoop the peas into the bowl on top of the cornbread.
I consider food to be "on topic" for all lists, but just in case the list Mum disagrees, might I remind you that your PowerBook's key board won't like the peas as much as you do?
