My 550 Ti-book gets hot up in the corner when I run GLTron.
It doesn't get that hot otherwise--except--when it is 90F and its on
my lap and I am in shorts.
I only have 512 ram & I usually do boring things with it.
When you have it plugged in--you are both powering it and charging
it, so it takes a lot of current. If you put it on a heat absorbing
surface or stop playing GLTron it cools off right away.
You have mentioned about how you can't decide whether to buy
this machine. If nothing else--buy it and sell it on eBay for a big
profit.
