to have problems with it's LCD. The machine has been on nearly 24/7 since it's purchase. The LCD will be alright immediatly upon cold boot, but after 45 minutes at the most, it will deteriorate into a narrow, indistinguishable, whitish, blurry mess. The TiBook otherwise
If you mean that the screen contrast is uniformly fading out of visibility, it may be that the temperature compensation circuit (auto contrast) in the LCD has gone south.. I've had this problem several times, though not on PowerBooks. My "fix" was to replace either the sensor or the digital pot with a voltage divider; I lose the amenity of temperature contrast compensation but at least the unit works...
