I posted here a while ago that I had been experiencing networking problems with my 12" PB - specifically, that the kernel would switch off the en0 port occasionally, and that querying the OS (via the ipconfig command) would reveal the existence of a panic for that port. I also said that this problem was especially likely to occur whenever I switched Locations, esp. when switching from a Location where the en1 (wifi) port was active to one where en0 (ethernet) was the active network port.

As part of a general review of where I was with the machine I decided to turn off the Bluetooth port - I don't have any Bluetooth devices, so it's unnecessary. It's also the big difference, in networking terms, between the 12" PB and both my old Lombard and my wife's Pismo, neither of which ever experienced the problems the PB has. Since doing this, networking on the PB has been completely stable. So there may be some issue about the interaction between the various ports when Bluetooth is active.

Anyone else have any experience in this area? Anyone else with a 12" PB using Bluetooth?
