The other day I posted about my Pismo battery which had all 4 charging
lights on nearly 24 hours a day, and was very hot all the time as well. This
behavior had started about 2 weeks ago. Last night I turned off the computer
and left it off and unplugged overnight. This morning I called Apple Care as
I still have about 4 months left. The guy told me that the battery is not
covered, but he thought the problem might be with the power supply and had
my press the reset button after which there was no boot with or without
power adapter attached. The 4 lights would still show if I pressed the
button on the battery at that time but now 8 hours later they do not. I am
taking it down to the Apple store here in NYC tomorrow to see if it will
start up with an alternate adapter. Anyone have any other insights into
this? I didn't pay attention in the past when these topics were discussed
because I had no problems then. I hardly ever transport the book, almost
never unplug and plug it in, so wear and tear on the port seems unlikely.
Help please.
