Well, sounds like some prefs got hosed... Here is the easiest way I 
clean my prefs out:

Close all open apps but the Finder.
Move the Preferences folder for your user.
Take prefs one-by-one from that into a new Preferences folder at the 
old location:
	~/Library/Preferences
Here is the catch, only move prefs files you know you need (Safari, 
Adobe apps, etc)... DON'T move prefs relating to the system unless 
absolutely needed.

After doing this, reboot for ensure a clean re-creation of the 
preferences. If this doesn't work, one of the prefs you copied back in 
is the culprit...

My TiBook has recently quit sleeping when I leave it alone. The screen
