Hi,
I have recently bought a Kanga to replace my powerbook 3400. I have shaved the left edge off a cardbus usb Macally adapter to work with my 3400. One partition with OS 8.6 works fine. The other with OS 9.1 refuses to see it with this excuse: "USB Adapter Card Support" is not supported on this machine. Someone on the powerbooks list suggested 'mac id wannabe' to change the gesalt id to that of a pci desktop to install the drivers for the pci usb card such as gesalt id 313 for the G3 powerbook that is supported by the card and drivers.

1. Could anyone please tell me if "mac id wannabe" mentioned above is a program and if so, where can it be found or downloaded from so I can use this card with the Kanga?
2. I am wondering if I should load OSX on the Kanga. Would anyone recommend it?
Thanks.
