Quick summary: If you sign an affidavit that you bought OS X for that machine, did not use it regularly on that machine due to support issues, and promise to never run OS X on your machine again, you can send back your CDs and get the purchase price of your OS X purchase back.
Otherwise, you are entitled to a $25 credit at the Apple store as long as you sign a sheet of paper stating that you could not do certain things under OS X on your machine.
