However, your cost would be a lot less if you were shopping to find the best deal on a bare 2.5 inch 40GB drive (for laptop), which you could probably find in the neighborhood of $125 and then buy a Firewire enclosure for around $40. Depends if you want to go through the trouble of finding the best deal and then putting the drive in the enclosure.
