Hi... Just bought some RAM to upgrade my Lombard (G3 400) and found it crashing with OS X very often... Anyone know the problem?
My original configuration: 128 (high profile) + 64 (Low profile) (worked fine) 1st change: 256 (paccom high profile) + 64 (same one) (fine as well) 2nd change: 256 (paccom high profile) + 256 (low profile, transcend 256, PC 100, CL2 (works on PeeCee notebook)) (frequent crashes) 3rd change: 256 (paccom high profile) + 256 (low profile, twinmos , PC 133, CL3 (works on PeeCee notebook as well)) (frequent crashes also) 4th change: 128 (same high profile) + 256 (low profile, twinmos , PC 133, CL3 (works on PeeCee notebook as well)) (lasted at least 12 hours from last test, seems to be fine) Called apple and they said it was because RAM was non-original. Asked me to use the hardware test CD but I didn't get one when I bought the thing. Didn't even know there was such a thing. What should I do? Help !!! (and thanks in advance...)
