You don't mention which version came with that iMac, but I would think that if it's not at least 10.2, then you might not enjoy it. Plus, Safari, the Apple's browser, won't work on 10.1, it needs at least 10.2. 10.3 (Panther) would be even better. Memory is pretty cheap these days. You could probably buy 2 256MB chips for around $50-$60. Same for the hard disks. You could probably find a 20GB cheap on eBay. PhotoShop 6 will work in Classic only, so you lose the OS X advantage. I'm pretty sure that you also have a Classic version of Office. If you want to run it in OS X, then that's another purchase, as Microsoft won't let you upgrade from Office 2001 to Office v.X, even though both versions are virtually the same, which is a shame, IMHO. Apple offers free update to bring AppleWorks 6 OS X native, so you're fine here. That's pretty much it, I would think... -Laurent. -- ============================================================================ Laurent Daudelin AIM/iChat: LaurentDaudelin <http://nemesys.dyndns.org> Logiciels Nemesys Software mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] BUAG // n.: [abbreviation, from alt.fan.warlord] Big Ugly ASCII Graphic.
