His job is to moderate the list, let him do it. There were three subject lines for the same conversation, the topic hadn't split, just the subject lines.
I belong to a bunch of lists and responses like yours seem typical, if I were a moderator I would get sick of that real fast and it would tend to cause me to be far more short tempered. I have a feeling it would do the same to anyone. Kyle does a fine job by me and while many would prefer to be able to complain, flame, argue, and run off topic, I am not so much for that, so more power to our mod.

conversation splits off into other topics (as they so often do) you want us
to continue with the same subject line rather than do the intelligent thing
and change it to reflect the changing topic?
