Are you sure it's the LCD itself? Your problem sounds more like a damaged
ribbon (or video) cable.

If it has a line of pixels out it's probably the LCD - or actually the board that's attached to the LCD. Replacing that means a whole new screen.
Look on eBay in the PC section for Samsung LT141X7-124, that's the Lombard screen.
I'll check around the myriad of boxes in my closet tomorrow to see if I have one.
