I have a dead pismo, and it shows no signs of life no matter what I try or what I reseat, is there a way to test the sound/power card to see if it is functional before plunking down $100ish for a new one? Does anyone know if a dead cpu would make the computer be dead? The pismo does have a crack in the case that would be on the belly side of the mouse button if it were facing you in your lap, I took it ALL the way apart and checked for things that would look broken or burned or whatever, foudn nothing. If I can't get a simple solution to this the guy trying to sell it to me for $125 will most likely give it to me for free, and I could repair it with parts from ebay. I have a lombard, would it be possible to swap the sound/power card out of that and into the pismo without killing anything? My lombard works fine except for a vertical white line of pixels that I'm trying to fix as well, but that is not as important as getting this pismo running. As I can use my lombard with the pixel issue, it s a little harder to use a dead pismo ;-)
