I'm not sure this is entirely related, but I have also reported a couple of weeks ago an internal modem problem on a Lombard under OS 10.2.8, but got no replies. I have not tried a dial-up connection as I'm on DSL since installing OS X, running fine and afraid to disrupt the "harmony", but when attemptimg to use FAXstf it fails, as the modem can't be found. It doesn't show up in the print or modem center or in the system profiler. Everything (dial-up & fax) runs fine instead under OS 9.
There's must be something silly I'm missing there, but I can't just figure out what and where. Help! cheers, gianfranco > The server connects whne I press connect.
