I have used the Keyspan USB/Serial adapter w/my PLW LS on an imac se 400 and pismo 400 w/out any problem...Running 10.2.3 on both....The LS died (scanner motor malfunction) and I need to figure out how to hook up my PLW NTR..I did get a Dayna Ethernet Bridge for LocalTalk printers but haven't figured out what to do with it...Someone said that the Asante bridge is the best...Someone on the LEM Swap list had one but disappeared after I asked about it..Any suggestions???
Regards,
Mike

I'm getting to this discussion late, but I have a couple of observations. First, I don't think the Personal Laserwriter LS is a localtalk printer, meaning it's a plain old serial printer. Can you use this:

AHAHAHAH, I have to tell you, I can't relate. That and there are ways to get a LocalTalk printer on an ethernet network ...

Thanks. I guess I'll have to do a Dual Boot. My printer is too good to give
up for OS X.

I'd love to find a way to get my Personal Laserwriter 300 to work somehow with OS X, but I have yet to find a way. I wound up connecting it to my 5500 but my OS X machines can't find it on the network. From what I've read, unless it's a Postscript printer, (and I guess the PLW 300 isn't) it won't work with OS X. I don't know if the LS is Postscript or not, but if it isn't you're out of luck.
