Another cogent question from my initial inquiry to which no one has yet
responded, is whether two identical low-profile chips can be used in a
WallStreet, whose construction allows (or requires???) one high-profile and
one low-profile chip.

Yes, they can both be low-profile, in fact I think that would give you a little better cooling since another .75 inch of the processor can breathe. I had two 256MB in my old Wallstreet 233, that RAM now resides in a Pismo somewhere.
