In my case, the instances of not getting bumped off Earthlink were rare exceptions. I would often get disconnected 2 or 3 times just in the course of trying to pick up a few messages. I don't know why, and their support people were not able to help, but obviously it's not my G4 Titanium's modem because disconnections with NetZone are about as rare as were the uninterrupted connections with Earthlink.
