It sat for several months with no power whatsoever (no AC, no battery). Is it
possible the PRAM backup battery has died? Is that something that would
produce the symptoms I'm seeing?
That same thing happened to my PB when I was away for 6 months and my wife forgot to plug it from time to time. At my return, I left the batteries to recharge en then started the pb with the install cd, then had to reinstall the system because there was some corruption. Hope this will help you.
