There's also a setting in terminal Window settings (under the shell menu) to close the window if the session exited cleanly. Select that and click the 'Use settings as Defaults' button. That keeps zombe terminal windows from cluttering up your desktop (I often have anywhere from three to eight terminal windows open. Expose is a godsend for me!) and keeps you from having to click it closed.
