I just purchased a dead Pismo, which according to the seller had been dropped. I'm trying to revive it. The case has a small crack but otherwise it appears to be in very good physical condition. It won't power on, and there are no lights on the battery etc--no sign of power whatsoever.
I found a service manual pdf online, and have taken the powerbook apart, as far as taking off the sound board. I made sure everything is firmly seated and visually inspected all parts--I can't see any broken parts.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting this? Are there any parts that are most likely to be the culprits, or that would be good to start with as far as replacements (battery, sound card)?
Also, any recommendations on good repair places?
Thanks!
