Thanks, for all the suggestions. I think its related to the memory. Will move the 128k stick (actually a 256 but its a dual sided so only sees 128) from the top to the bottom and see what happens. Right now when both stick are in OSX goes only as far as the installation screen, and when I take out the 128 - it doesn't work at all. So it must be the memory. Might have to purchase more. Linda
