I have a Targus 'portable' USB numeric keypad (Model No.: PAUK001 VER 2.0) which I bought through a local office supply store. It has worked great under MacOS 9.0 up through 9.2.2, but now that I'm running Jaguar (10.2.8) I've noticed that Calculator doesn't recognize input from it. The light above the "Num Lock" key does light up, so I know it's getting power fine, and AddressBook/TextEdit/other programs recognize the input, but nothing I type on the keypad shows up in the Calendar program. Is there a workaround or driver for the keypad (or for Calculator? I used to like using the OS9 Calculator to figure a total and then paste it into another program, but it looks like the new Calculator is finicky with this keypad.
I have searched Targus' site (no luck, and they haven't responded yet to my email) and a couple of Mac OS X apps sites (I'd have to check my browser history, but I think SourceForge was one of them), but nobody seems to have USB drivers for numeric keypads. I think I recall that Apple (finally) re-wrote Calculator almost from the bottom up in X, but I'd think they would realize that some of us would want to use a keypad with it.
