The battery is not continuously charged. I have a co-worker with a new
PowerBook 17". I did notice that, even when the adaptor is connected, his
battery charge will decrease. I asked him about it and he said that,
starting with OS X 10.3.4, the charging part of the OS will wait for the
battery to be down to about 94% of its capacity before it will
trickle-charge it, so that it doesn't wear out the battery prematurely. As
you may or may not know, what will wear out a Li-Ion battery is the number
of charge cycles, or so I was told.

BUAG // n.: [abbreviation, from alt.fan.warlord] Big Ugly ASCII Graphic.
Pejorative term for ugly ASCII art, especially as found in sig blocks. For
some reason, mutations of the head of Bart Simpson are particularly common
in the least imaginative sig blocks. See warlording.
