Sounds like it's been a while but perhaps you could point me to that 3rd party program. It might be useful for us OS9 troglodytes.
I'm still providing support to family with 520s, 1400s, a Biege G3 and a Wallstreet all using dial-up so none of their machines is connected to a network. Isn't there a way to connect computers through Apple Talk?
But I think that requires a serial port that seems to have been left off my "full featured" Lombard 400.
Actually one of the things that keeps me from upgrading from my Lombard is the ability to mount the Lombard in disk mode with any of the older Macs using the SCSSI port.
Another option would be to have FTP server/clients on the various machines but I haven't gotten around to figuring out the best way to approach that (besides which that would require setting up a network).
