I do that. So I can load just the system I want. I don't use the localized files. I don't use all the extra printer drivers, stuff like that. Plus the computer normally ships with a system that is a couple update back. So I load the newest system str8 on it, so there is no needs to update. I find doing a clean install to the newest system, instead of update, runs a little better. But that's just IMHO
