Which media the newest PowerBook SuperDrive is able to burn to? I don't know that much about DVDs, but apparently there are a couple of incompatible standards. Apple's site mentions only DVD-R and DVD-RW [1], but I was able to successfully burn DVD+R, and the just inserted DVD+RW was also detected and is apparently ready to be toasted.

Could anyone please shed some light on this?

BTW the Apple site only says DVD-R and CD-RW -- not DVD-RW.... at least from what I could see on that page.

Interesting that others might work as well, but perhaps not reliably?
