I now have some more questions. The ibook I have is a G3/300, I am assuming the higest amount of ram I can have is 160 (32 on board + 128mb dimm), Is this correct? or is anyone running one with more ram? It only has 32 megs as it sits and I was planning on ordering some ram for it but I wasn't sure if it would take more than the 128. Does anyone have a good source for ram for it? What is the best system to run on this machine? It only has 8.6 on it at the moment but I definately want to upgrade it. Also can anyone tell me what programs they are running on a machine like mine? I would love to run Photoshop but not sure what version would work the best.
Check out MemoryX <http://www.memoryx.net/ibook1.html>. They show an iBook clamshell 300 as taking up to a 512Mb SODIMM. MemoryX has always provided good service and good pricing. They aren't always the lowest price but are usually close. Their web site is very good as it shows the memory available for every Mac out there (I haven't found any yet that they don't cover at least)
