Dual-USB G3 iBook. OS 10.3.5.
Inherited this iBook from the father-in-law. Don't know if he ever
downloaded and installed the iBook Firmware Update 4.1.7.
Since inheriting the iBook, because of intractable problems I was having
with Keychain Access, I wiped the hard drive clean.
Instructions with Update 4.1.7 note that the software will tell you if
the Update needs to be installed.
Alas, to run the software, you have to have OS 9, which I did not bother
to re-install when I wiped the drive clean and reinstalled the System
software.
Any way to tell if this Update has been installed?
If not, is it worth the trouble to reinstall OS 9 in order to do so???
Thanks,
bob
