That's due to the root of their problem; Their total lack of Customer Support/Interest in MAC Products/Systems. Advised of Your problem with 'Their' MAC Product, they spend more time trying to persuade to switch to PeeCs than addressing Your issue; Then they drop you.
Anyone know anything about these cards and how they work with Panther?

This admonition extends for Western Digital Products for MACINTOSH, across the Board; Gleaned over long, and at expensive first-hand experience. Not so much a 'Slam' on their products, (Products DO fail), rather Their MAC Customer/Tech Support, or lack there-of.
You're left with a Product that still 'Functions', just, not with YOUR System; And on-your-own for a work-around, or, eventually a 'Door-Stop'.
Forget GOOGLE; Join some of the many MAC List, Visit the "Archives", and 'Search-Input' Western Digital.
