There's probably a FAQ or site somewhere that answers this; if so, please point me to it.
I just got a G4 PB and want to "import" all of my email & preferences plus Safari bookmarks etc...is there a way to do this painlessly? I know how to do my iTunes library; looks like they would have provided an easy way to do the rest. The G4 is 10.3 and the ibook I've been using is 10.2; is this going to work?
Apple's knowledgebase/TIL has half a dozen articles that give full details as to how to migrate into a new Mac. The Apple Stores will also assist.
Apple Mail has obvious import items in the menus, and online help that cover it.
Ditto for Address Book.
If you've already used Safari on your new PB, then you'll need to take a valium before reading Apple's directions. Safari has NO bookmark import capabilities accessable after it has been launched the first time. The directions on Apple's site will walk you thru the necessary pains to make Safari think it's virgin.
My best advice: Make *sure* you work from *copies* of your data.
