I will clean the drive as suggested elsewhere, though I haven't actually taken delivery of it yet, probably later today. ---
I've had problems booting my lombard from 700MB CD-Rs that were remedied by burning the image to a 650 CD-R (which are unfortunately rarer these days).
I used my last one not long ago, thought it be a good thing to get rid of it... :^/ ---
I was told on a different mailing list that this was a known problem.
I have had two Pismos and I think four or five Wallstreets, and not to the best of my knowledge have either of them suffered from this, but they may have done, just that one hasn't known about it...
I'll be back if I have some news...
