I find I have no need for a PC slot. The only time I needed one before was for 1 of 3 things, Firewire, USB, Wireless. Which the iBook have built in. Also unless you go with a Pismo all the other G3 powerbooks have 66Mhz buses, where the iBook have 100Mhz which just makes things run a little faster. I would say go iBook you will get more life out of it, with upgrades to the Mac OS.
