if the card is one of the one's supported by the sourceforge driver (http://wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/) that will work with OSX, a lot of the same cards (the ORiNOCO cards in particular) are supported by Airport software under OS9

all you need is a wireless/router and you are good to go
