Try an OS-9 CD if you have one available. I was wondering the same thing, John. I don't remember if the OS 8.6 install CD was, or could be, machine specific or not. One of our on-board techs will probably know for sure.[1] The problem could be just that simple, although if the short "whir"and then "squeak" that Kristina describes don't sound like a CD drive looking for a bootable System to me. So it doesn't look like it requires a specific install CD.
