How fast is wireless compared to 10 or 100BT these days? When I looked into it years ago it was pretty slow.

Apple's airport base station supports up to 10 systems at 11 mbs, shared, best case scenario. It isn't switched, which most wired networks are these days so it'll end up slower than 10-base-t. At farther distances your transmission rate will drop.


Of course 100BT will blow it out of the water.

The catch, of course is that even 11 Mbs shared is faster than 99.99% of home user's connection to the internet...
