I have the 15" and even if the person in front of me reclines, I can still usually use it but just have to pull it forward somewhat. I disagree with the portability - true it is heavier and slightly bigger but it's still not a big deal to carry it around. The tiny 12" screen is just too small for me to be practical for any of my uses - including Photoshop and Illustrator. My friend has a 12" and I can't stand typing on it - the screen is just too small and I am used to the extra space in front of the keyboard on my 15".
