Keep it handy, so to speak, My Wallstreet needed it every 2-3 months. Usually when it crashed hard and then wouldn't reboot without a power manager reset.

No no, not this time. this is a known wallstreet condition and can be solved by rebooting once into OS 9, (in some cases also sleeping the
 > machine there) and then boot back again into OS X.
