There's a much easier way to detect and correct corrupted .plist files. A nifty little free utility called Preferential Treatment will do those things for you. Did I mention that it is free? :-> Preferential Treatment will parse invisible files (i.e., files whose name begins with a dot) as long as their names end in .plist and they are in a directory that PT is set to search. If an invisible file is found to be corrupt, using PT to move it to the trash will also work to remove it.
