You can always use an Asante or Farallon Ethernet/LocalTalk adapter
and an ethernet hub to network the printer without physical switching.

Does your Epson 740 not have Serial, USB, and Paralle ports, like my
Epson Color Stylus 900, so that you can have dual direct connections
to your Wallstreet and iMac anyway?
