This means that maclaunch.com would not accept the message, your systems couldn't find it, or that it was down.

Since the server wasn't down, either mail.maclaunch.com was rejecting mail from your servers for some reason, or your ISP was having trouble finding the right address for mail.maclaunch.com.

If this happens again, try sending a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If that gets through, then your ISP is having trouble resolving the maclaunch IP address, a problem way above you, and usually indicative of other networking problems.

If it's rejected again, then the problem is on the maclaunch end.

Then there's a couple of possibilities:

the maclaunch servers are down, or not responding.

the maclauch servers may be set to ignore your email servers as an antispam measure. Usually this means that your ISP has been put on some RBL or another for sending spam, or your ISP's reverse DNS wasn't working.

DNS resolution means you enter mail.maclaunch.com and the DNS servers give the computer the numeric address it needs to properly send the message, in this case 157.238.133.140.

Reverse lookup means you send the DNS servers 157.238.133.140 and it should come back as 'mail.maclaunch.com'. Many spam servers do not properly do this, so a number of antispam filters block messages from hosts that do not match both forward (name to number) and reverse (number to name) lookups.

Again, not *your* problem, entirely, though it clearly affects you.

My guess, since you weren't getting other mails bounced, and the list wasn't down, your ISP was having DNS problems looking up the ip address of maclaunch server, which could be beyond *their* control.
