Cost me about $240 for the same service, though with a

I too am looking to upgrade my PB 867
my 40 gig HD is almost full (music and fotos)
so i went to Microcenter,
(which i like better than the apple store,
i buy all my apple gear there)

Got a price of 200 buck to put in a 80 gig
harddrive(samsung).

150 for the HD and 50 for service.

Remember, if you can change a light bulb, you can swap your HDD in your Pismo and most other laptops. The Pismo, in particular, is very easy; with the hardest part only lifting the keyboard up. The instructions are even at Apple's support site via a Quicktime movie. It took me under 20 minutes to swap the drive. Anyone charging more than $20.00 to swap an internal drive, in my opinion, is a con.
