Subject: Re: Erasing hard drive

I too, have used Panther on my Pismo since it came out up to 10.3.6 and has 
worked flawlessly. Prior to that I was using Jaguar from its introduction to 
10.2.8 and it also worked flawlessly. So maybe the drive?

Before I got my 17", I've used my Pismo with 10.3 since it was released and 
never had any problem. I think your drive is faulty...
