Well for all who have been so much help on this subject. Got the card and router about 20 minutes ago. It was a version 3 as I suspected. I found the OSX drivers at the Ralink site, and I'm sending this E-mail wireless from the Lombard as I type.

Sooooo, that means that the great deal I just got on E-bay for a new Belkin PCICMA card and router that is listed at the Belkin site as working with OS 10.2.6 and airport 3.0.4, will just be going back on E-bay?
