I'd recommend the following order, but others are equally good:

1. Install additional RAM
2. Boot machine and verify that everything works, and the RAM is detected
3. Install new hard drive
4. Reformat, then install OS and needed applications
5. Test wireless card
6. Verify that everything is working as expected
7. Begin processor card installation (you may need to run a program to save your machine's ROM before you install; refer to the instructions that came with the card)
8. Remove old processor card, and remove its RAM
9. Install all RAM on the new processor card
10. Install new processor card
11. Boot machine and verify that everything works

It's important to only do a step or two at a time, and to test constantly -- that way, if something fails, you know roughly what it is.

Cheers,
Ben

I would like to compare the "before" and "after" performance of this
Wall Street Powerbook. What program do you recommend I use to test it
before beginning this upgrade? System profiler is installed.

I did read the whole thread concerning Tom's Wall Street RIP project.
I haven't worked in a Mac environment for three years now, so I have
to look everything up or ask for help. I once had a Wall Street series
2 for a couple of years, before taking a job in a Windows XP
environment.
So, I apologize in advance for overlooking the obvious sometimes...
Should the harddrive be installed first? Should I boot that up before
attempting to install the Sonnet Crescendo upgrade? Don't I need to
install the Crescendo before adding the RAM?

The current harddrive is only 2 gigs, with 1.22 available.
Thanks!
